"Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you later."
Rehoming means the cat’s owner or caretaker finds a home for their own cat. Taking the time to rehome your cat will greatly reduce the number of cats going into already crowded rescues and shelters. We are happy to assist you in this process by posting your cat on this website. We also encourage you to use facebook, newspaper ads and colorful flyers to get the word out about your cat.
We thank you for making the extra effort to rehome your cat. Click here for helpful adoption hints and questions.
To have your cat shown on the rehoming available page you must submit the following information and be a citizen of Rockbridge County or the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. If you need to rehome more than one cat you must submit a form for each cat. Unless otherwise notified your cat will be removed from the rehoming page after 60 days.
All cats posted on the rehoming available page must be spayed or neutered and vaccinated for rabies. If you need help with this contact Cats Unlimited (540-458-2287) for more information about our low cost spay/neuter program.
Cats Unlimited accepts no responsibility for the cats posted on the rehoming available page. You will be responsible for all communication with potential adopters.
The address you provide in the form will not be put on the rehoming available page, but we need the information for our records. Only the information that you provide in the contact section of the form below will be shown on the rehoming available page.
Please note that it may be a couple of days before your cat will be displayed since we are an all-volunteer organization. You may also be contacted by one of our volunteers to provide more information before your cat is posted on the rehoming available page.
I have read and agree to the terms and conditions for submitting a request for my cat to be placed on the rehoming available page provided by Cats Unlimited.
